The Dominguez Hills History Project is dedicated to the mission of advancing high-
quality history instruction in the elementary classroom through work with pre-
service teacher candidates, offering professional development with TK-5 teachers,
and by providing resources of lessons and materials to use in the classroom. The
Dominguez Hills History Project is one of six regional California History-Social
Science Project sites across the state that are dedicated to improving history
instruction by improving classroom instruction and student learning.
We belong to a larger network of discipline-specific programs known as
the California Subject Matter Projects (CSMP), administered by the University of
California, Office of the President.
